your post is slightly different from mine.

You have issues with offshore development, me too. Doing things remotely, as we all know, is not as effecient as work that gets done onsite. There isn't any reason to explain it here, I think we all know there are inherent inefficiencies in offshore development. One huge issue is the time difference too.

My post was saying something different, that a non-diverse industry of foreign nationals is not optimal. In this situation, you might make the case that there is no difference in quality of work, since they are local after all and presumably don't have any communication skills. But the end result is that you have a non-diverse workforce composed of only a small number of folks who intend to stay here.

I have no problems with the issues raised by your post. In fact I do agree with you. Quality of work balanced by cost should always be the criterion for choosing the team.
