That's correct, kumar. I heard Eagleburger also...

I also think President Bush said what he did today about Syria was to put them on public notice that we have a good understanding of what they are, and have been doing.

By putting them on such public notice, hopefully will keep Syria mindful that if they do send terrorists out, the US WILL take care of the problem, and it also reminds our citizens know some of what we know about Syria.

"Some" people will scream,holler, and yell. But IF something happens, then where will their credibility be?

After all, Syria hasn't been on the Top of the Heap of Terrorist countries for no reason.

Did you hear Barry Rubin tonight on Fox...? He also said it was foolish to think the Administration would go to war without months of planning and preparation. He felt that economic and other pressures were much more likely.

Eagleburger's comments were caveated by "if the President does not approach the American people and Congress and gain approval...".
