Right on! I had read pretty much the same thing about 6-7 years ago! Many blamed ole 49r (self-reincarnated as gold & platinum tutor) for having misled them into humongous losses. Rightly or wrongly, many believed she shorted Bre-X to neutralize her earlier losses and then some. Many desperate shareholders blamed her for misleading them into believing that John Felderhof (one of the crooks who fled with ~$40M to the tax havens of the Bahamas) was a knowledgeable expert and that Felderhof had apparently seen tiny gold 'rivulets' running from the fool-proof test samples in the furnace at Perth, W. Australia. Those shareholders declared they were much relieved and grateful to ole 49r for her assurances that everything was going hunky-dorily fine! Isn't it remarkable that to this very day, G.T. or rather G&P.T still insists there is gold aplenty at them thar hills at Busang, Borneo??????????????????????????????
