Syria is a tough nut. On the one hand given their actions recently, taking them out would be consistent with making more progress in the war on terror.....it would appear that Syrian actions may well have led to US deaths and if they are harboring regime members....well....it would make sense to go after them.....

On the other hand, military action of any sort should always be a last resort. I think if we keep applying the pressure and line up our ducks so to speak we will see some results. It looks like NK is backtracking already and things seem to be moving in the right direction in Iran as well....Its good to keep in mind that generally speaking the Arabs are long on bluster......

So...on balance...I think we should keep up the diplomatic and economic pressure for now and see how that plays out....but I would not rule out a foray into Syria if they continue to support and fund terror.....Hezbollah and Hamas in particular.....

The bottom line is promoting stablity in the ME which means greater security for us at home as well.......
