<<1) Blair was buckling -- and Bush had to call for the Azores meeting to bring him back.>>
by the Azores meeting it was a foregone conclusion that Blair would back the war.

<<2) The war has JUST begun in Iraq -- any country with 1/10th the military capability as the USA would have been able to secure Baghdad -- the hard part is returning civility and peace. Bush will do excatly what he did/doing in Afghanistan -- put some half-assed effort together to secure a transitional government and abandon the cause at its MOST critical juncture and then ONTO the next target. Syria, Iran, Grenada? Whatever it takes to keep the focus off of the economy.>>
or do you mean like Clinton turning over Haiti to the UN after he couldn't do anything with it? i'm glad you can see the future and are available to tell everyone what the outcome of Iraq's new government will be. thanks. afghanistan and iraq are very different countries and the objectives were different. and if you really believe the rhetoric about having a war to "keep the focus off the economy," you're a sick person.

<<where are the WMD? What happened to the country the size of California with only 100 inspectors argument, now they've got an occupying army with a couple hundred thousand troops -- yet NO WMD?>>
let me know if you'd like to make a wager about what WMD's are/will be found. even the dems are agreeing that they are there. clearly they have just a tad more info about the subject than you.

<<1) "Read my lips -- no new taxes">>
true. bad political mistake, regardless of what was necessary at the time.
<<2) "I did not have sex with Ms. Lewinsky">>
don't try to rewrite history. it was "I did not have sex with THAT WOMAN". Clinton's was a disgrace to the office. Pretty pathetic that he couldn't even keep his pants zipped for the time he was in the office.
<<3) "We have hard and irrefutable evidence of WMD in Iraq">>
again, i'll wager anything you'd like to wager.

Hi Jack: Vis-a-vis WMD...Iraq is the size of California. The Marines were pretty well occupied over the past few weeks. Let's give the authorities a chance to look and interview. Any WMD are likely to be well hidden, perhaps buried in caverns to avoid the inspectors. Also, entirely likely that some of the scientists and weapons are even now in Syria. We will prevail.

Continued regards,
