J.B. Hunt rallies on Q1 results, upgrade By Michael Baron
J.B. Hunt Transport Services (JBHT: news, chart, profile) is gaining more than 10 percent to $32.12 after the Lowell, Ark., trucking firm reported first-quarter earnings of $11.2 million, or 28 cents per share, well ahead of the average estimate of 13 analysts polled by Thomson First Call for a profit of 16 cents per share. Total operating revenue rose to $571 million in the latest three months from $510 million in the same period a year earlier. The company said it remains confident in its full-year earnings outlook. The stock garnered an upgrade from Morgan Stanley to 'equal-weight' this morning.
