Kerry knows what he wants, but the Dem party is split.

Kerry is not kowtowing to the left in 2004. He'll say a few nice things to them and take Howard Dean's supporters once they're available but mainly he'll be taking control of the middle.

Considering how far right Bush has moved, the middle is a huge area. That's where the battle will be fought. Bush has only one winning issue there, war. Kerry will chop that in half with his championing vets, Silver Star winning war hero history, intelligence and experience.
