Well, I think there are obviously insufficient grounds for an "invasion" at this time; but that doesn't mean it is okay for a former Secretary of State to be going around shooting off his mouth like this, in effect, weakening the international view of the president's authority.

Interestingly, the administration has said, from the outset, that it has no interest in taking military action in Syria. It seems to be just another case of the media running wild because the administration is using tough rhetoric (as it should be).

Unless there is something in the context of the quote that softens it, the remark was clearly incompetent, inappropriate, and probably harmful.

You, of course, are entitled to your opinion.


He forgot anti-american. That's anyone who disagrees with the prevailing "one flew over the coocko's nest" view of the world.
