This is a democracy..........people can say what they please. And that means Bush's ability to do things is limited.

Of course they can. That doesn't mean it is a good idea to spill your guts on national TV. And while I expect this sort of thing from liberals, you really don't expect it from someone with Eagleburger's stature.

Bush has no plans to go into Syria, its reported that Rumsfeld is asking for war plans to invade Syria from the pentagon.

Well, I suspect the DOD technically has "plans" to invade every place from Cuba to Canada, given the right set of circumstances. But "plans" in the sense that we're thinking about doing it? I doubt it.

When you read these media reports, it is important to know WHO specifically said it. If it is an "unnamed Pentagon official", it probably ought to be disregarded.

Thus far, there has been no official announcement of such plans, so it is reasonable to discount media reports of anything of that nature.
