I think the administration has shown that it is carefully managing from a military perspective.

Rumsfield was criticized by going too slowly without sufficient "mass". He has been vindicated. They could, with the same strategy, take down Syria, Saudi Arabia and Iran within 6 months.

I'm not saying they should or will do that but militarily they could.

I do believe that they should give diplomacy a chance as they did with Saddam. However, they should not wait for 12 years as we did with the UN shell game.

The ultimate objective is to resolve the issues not insist on also bloodying noses.

Exactly. I hope that is the focus of the thread. Solutions don't necessarily require bloodshed.
