Australian leader gets poll boost from Iraq

...But with the war apparently coming to a swift and successful conclusion, a poll published yesterday showed Mr. Howard's approval ratings jumping from 48 percent before the war to 58 percent. The fact that Australia has lost no troops also helped his case.

The respected Newspoll agency also said 62 percent regarded Mr. Howard as their preferred prime minister, while support for opposition Labor leader Simon Crean crashed to just 16 percent...

I heard about this on Hannity on the radio while in the car this afternoon....but have seen nothing else about it. Had to look on our SI search to find this.... Yours is the only post on SI with this article... Wonder why??? Seriously!
