I'm shocked to hear it. -g-

Always delighted to deliver a daily dose of shock. No awe.

Speaking of shock, the transformer one door down the street from our house blew out this afternoon, taking the neighborhood electrical system down with it, of course.

One of the nice things about living in a small community with a basically good government oriented tradition of borough government is that the social services work. Police were here within two to three minutes (they would have heard the loud pops; I was on the cellphone right away and they already had two calls), the fire trucks were here within five to ten minutes, and the electrical power company repair folk were here within thirty minutes.

Taxes are high but service is good. I'll take it. And pay for it.
