With all due respect, I thought it was effective because you had to stop and think. I think you give some broad generalizations without thinking how particular individuals are affected.

I know people who were lost in 9/11. After that, it became necessary for us to re-think how we handle threats. We are not going to wait for another episode so that the proof, about which you speak, is 100%
