Well, Karen, I would skip this post from you but we've had very good conversations on the thread so I won't.

If you check Hawk's posting history, you'll find a serial chest thumper, in your face, mine is bigger than yours. Several of us have been around the posting mills with him.

If you check back through the prior posts before mine, you'll see that Hawk did exactly as I pictured, and I actually toned the language down a bit.

Finally, the factual points. Samuelson's credentials to discuss tax as public policy are weaker than Krugman's; Samuelson's views on taxes are politically wrong; and I certainly do hope those views are defeated at every level possible.

As for your suggestion that I owe Hawk an apology, it's the opposite. Hawk owes the thread apologies stringing back almost to his first appearance on the thread.

My guess is that this is all trying Ken's patience. If not, it should. I'm going to drop it but with the same notice I've offered before. I engage in and intend to engage in civilized conversations with members of the thread. When someone breaks that as flagrantly as Hawk does and did, I reserve the right to retaliate with one post, then drop it.
