So long as Graham's visit appears as if it's sponsored by the Bush administration it appears to be anti-Muslim.

In what way does it "appear to be," John? Other than in your mind? It is the media that is tying it together. And I am sure the Mormons, etc will be there too. The difference here is that a reporter picks up on one group that is headed by someone Bush knows. I would bet he has met the head of just about every Missionary group that will go there. The difference in this case is the Graham name.

The truth is that the Missionary effort by them will not be connected to Bush by the Muslims over there. Unless the press does it for them.

John, the Grahams have been friends of Presidents since at least JFK's days....

From Australia....and Re: Billy Graham and JFK:
wesleymission.org.au

>>>>>>>>Four days before John F. Kennedy's Inauguration as President of USA, he asked Dr. Billy Graham to see him: "Billy, will you tell me about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ - I don't know enough about it." Billy Graham went over the scriptures. Four years later John F. Kennedy was assassinated. At his funeral Billy Graham read the same scripture he read to the President previously: 1 Thess 4:13-18 We do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. <<<<<<<<<<

John, let's be candid, to both you and the Arab world EVERYTHING we do or don't do is anti-Muslim.

Last I looked though, no Christian religious have declared war on Muslims nor preached to fight them to their death.

In a way, I feel sorry for you .... it would appear you slant everything that you could feel good about in order not to.

Two of my aunts are Franciscan nuns ... they obviously are Catholic and hence, Christian. They have devoted their lives to helping the underprivliged, the illiterate, the starving; mostly in Africa but throughout the world, including the U.S..

Is their work "anti-muslim" ? Anti-african ? I'll share this with you, every place they have ever been they have been loved by people of all cultures, races and religions.

I prefer to think their work is pro-God ..... and I see nothing wrong with that.

In closing, do you suggest we deport all muslim clerics in the U.S. because they are "preaching" here ?

Or is good for the goose, good for the gander non-existent in your world ?

JB
