Party labels are seldom accurate reflections of the party philosophy. Regardless of the etomology of Neocon, the doctrine as written by the party leaders specifies a weak central government, a strong corporate role, and a dominate position for this nation in the family of nations.

In previous generations such a philosiphy was termed fascist, or national socialist. I don't throw those words around to be sensational, they are an accurate description of the goals as stated by the Neocons themselves. They just prefer to use a label with a bit less history.
