Yes to me SOXX is the most important index. Semiconductors are the most key components of our industrial economy. Every device from toys to industrial equipment have silicon in them. Studies have shown a strong correlation between semiconductor production and GDP. Asia has always been smart to invest in key economic drivers. They started with autos and steel etc , followed it up with electronics and are now increasing dominating chip production.
