I'm not sure what you see in that chart, Charles, that makes you think the level is "well within the historic norms". Check out this link (it's quick w/o any graphics)which clearly summarizes the facts. I see Michigan is now 8 inches above it's all time low of 1964 but 56 inches below it's all time high of 1986. And still a full two feet below it's long term average. I love facts.

Looking back it was Johnson who was president in 1964. And he was from Texas too!!! Hmmmmm. I really think you may be on to something Charles. <g>
