Solution: Change the name to the Chevy Nuevo.

It novitates me.

You can center around that.

Plus the the Nova had NO ROOM in the backseat.

Mexicales are back seat people. They need a place to play.

It was physically impossible to fit a months groceries and a family of 6 in the back seat of a Chevy Nova.

Now a c. Blazer, that is a completely different hacienda. You could do the above and the burro did not have to walk either. He could sit on the roof.

I’ll join ya over at the free for all next week. I take it that the politics of the entire globe are up for bending, folding, stapling, and mutilating? Mind you, our little French farce lends itself to a lot of material, I mean these guys almost seem to take themselves seriously at times. Thank Gaia we don’t.

Whenever I look at TV coverage of the “New Iraq” as CNN would have it, all I see is grief. No, that’s not quite true, the grief is on BBC and CBC. CNN’s coverage of the unapologetic statement by Powell that he was going to try to find the looted history and culture of the Iraqi people, when he gets time, was prefaced by the headline: “We’re going treasure hunting”. The sound of quacking is getting louder.

I see the Yanks have caught Saddam’s brother, well 2 half brothers but I guess it adds up to the same thing. It’s bound to make it harder for the marines to play “go fish”, they may have to give up altogether. That card game idea sounds more Mad Avenue than Pentagun inspired.

Yeah, I’ve heard that Christian missionaries of all stripes are lining up in Kuwait, converting each other at the moment I guess. OK, see ya on the political site next week...

Neo Conservative wannabes have hijacked the TSE. They're showing their elitist tendencies more openly. They are bent on removing more and more information from the folks who pay their wages. It makes ya wonder what will fall next in their campaign. Perhaps a blackmarket in real time quotes and market books will begin operating from a pirate ship anchored in international waters. Where are the real pirates when ya need them? Har.

Actually, the exchanges and the brokerage houses remind me of the rationale used by entertainment agents when they raised their commissions from 10 to 15 percent way back when...a 50% increase overnight. Their explanation was that there were fewer gigs around and fewer musicians and lower wages so they needed the increase to stabilize their income. They made it sound as though it seemed fair to them. These guys have the same mind set. Mind you, we don’t even get a half-assed explanation, it’s just “Here, deal with this newly gutted service or pay up...more... more...more”. Just to get to where they will allow you to buy the market books, StockWatch would also like to have an extra 50 bucks a month.

I’m going to try my best not to deal with it, I can’t logically place an order unless I know what some of the other boys and girls are doing. Nah...I’ll just quit trading on the VSE other than a few positions that I’ll continue to hold—although they have just lost a big layer of protection—and have the uneasy feeling that I’m playing into the Mother ship’s hands here somehow. We had to quit trading on the ASE and lost all of that good information. Now, information on CDNX companies earned through DD is unfortunately redundant to me because I can’t see the market and won’t operate blindly and won’t give up that extra kilogram of flesh. A part of me is going to have to pretend it doesn’t matter and that the TSE suits my style better anyway. But, it does matter a Hell of a lot on at least a couple of levels.

And the media is becoming a medium. We’re becoming far too centralized on things that really should count. Oh, uh...just rehearsing my letter to Toronto...I’ll work on it over the long weekend.

Happy Trails,
Lenny
