Hum, to be fair, the burned down of YuanMingYuan was in the hands of British-French coalition force. The 8-country coalition force was later during the box rebellion.

Although the historical value of the looting in Iraq this time is much much higher compared to YuanMing Yuan looting. Iraqi civilization goes back much much earlier, as early as 4000-5000 B.C. This is a devastating loss for the whole mankind.
