I have been the owner of my own small business for 30 years so I understand that taxes reduce the bottom line. Nevertheless, I believe that taxes contribute to the economy and contribute to our quality of life. Here, in my area, we have failed to raise the gas tax to the same extent as inflation. The result is terrible traffic congestion which is costing jobs in our area.
