Sounds like Sharpton is going to be a shoe-in with Edwards dropping out of the race!

"Defections set Edwards’ hopes back"

Too bad...I was relishing hearing him defend the personal injury trial lawyers (he is one) as the health care debate heats up.

Speaking of health care, I just returned from 2 weeks in Jamaica. My wife came down with a sore throat Thursday evening (after we arrived on Wednesday) but she did not tell me about it until Friday. With the SARS scare going around, we decided about 4 PM Friday she should try to see a doctor. A local Jamaican friend recommended a Dr. Tomilnson that was a 10 minute walk from our condo. We called for an appointment and they simply said "None necessary...just come on down." After we were admitted to the doctor's office, we looked around a bit and saw he had 2 degrees from the University of Ireland. He then showed up, examined her and gave her 2 prescriptions. Now get this:

*Total time elapsed from the time we entered the office - 30 minutes.

*This was Friday afternoon at 5 PM (never try this in the USA!)

*Total cost including 2 prescriptions which were dispensed before we left - $37.34

*We also learned many doctors in Jamaica make house calls!

If you want reasonable health care costs in the USA, write your Senators and Congressmen and tell them to eliminate exorbitant malpractice awards. Jamaica reminds me of the way our health care system was when I was a child...before the personal injury trial lawyers got involved. Unfortunately one of them is now running for President (John Edwards - D/NC)!

Nice when democraps fight each other. What is so funny is that carrie and edwards are fighting and the ole black horse is steadily increasing his lead. Al Sharpton is expected to be a big winner in South Carolina.

Kerry is being attacked by the GOP because he WILL BE the nominee. Always pay attention to who is attacked. That will reveal what the real situation is. The Bushies would love to run against anyone but Kerry. Edwards would make a fine VP. If he can deliver North Carolina --
