Altria upgraded at Merrill Lynch (MO) 31.86 -0.59: -- Update -- Merrill Lynch upgrades to Buy from Neutral, saying MO's current valuation is unrealistically depressed and does not take sufficiently into account that prospects for the group's earnings in the next 12 months are superior to those since Q2 2002; also, while firm continues to project reduced EPS growth rates, they think that the worst news may be behind MO on both fundamental and litigation issues. Target is $37.
