Final comment (today): I was impressed as hell with them last night. Bottom of eighth, Thomas cranked one out...(after being hit/mad earlier in game)...then the loony incident (again)....Royals had every reason to blame the incident, weather (windy), starting-to-get-long road trip, Beltran still out, first game at team they swept earlier in season (you'd think WSox would want to prove something/Royals would let up), etc.

Not only did they regain lead., but they did it with authority. As one Indian said the other day, "we go to a game WANTING to win....they EXPECT to win".

Its early, and more than anything, injuries could derail this team (they certainly aren't deep)...but since spring training (best AL record), they sure seem like they are on a mission....come to think of it, weren't Seattle on paper (gigantic win season on paper a couple years a go) pretty light on paper then (questionable pitching going in?)..

By the way, score is 1-0 Royals in bottom of first (g)
