My point in that statement was not about the HOF but more general. How do you reconsile "its unAmerican to exclude someone from a key event becuase you don't like who he voted for for president." with "And if you choose to walk into the opposition's camp......that you have to expect some serious objections." I guess I see the Bull Durham connection as being a strong one that trumps any political disagreements. During the 80's, baseball had turned slacker. Bull Durham put baseball back on the map.........that's a pretty strong connection and its Robbins and Sarandon that made B.Durham popular. ted
