Tomasso/energyplay:

Agree with both your posts. I am buying more AVN, AE, and PWI, though they are relatively expensive. As I average in, I hope to catch a few dips. AVN has been a powerhouse the last week! NCN may be attractive if it pulls back. It will be interesting to learn how PEY's price settles during the next week. Beyond CRT's, ECA, CMT and THY remain attractive.

Not fond of PVX, PGH, SHN, but others find them attractive.

I have much more NCN than anything else, partly because it is so easy to trade in the US, but also because it does seem well run. Best I can tell. But I also have ARC Energy, and Enerplus (ERF), both heavy on gas. I have a very large block of COS.UN (Toronto symbol), which is all syncrude oil and somewhat vulnerable to high gas prices, but that looks like an excellent hedge against real troubles with world oil supply. I have some Vermillion Energy Trust units from a company conversion to a trust but have not studied them lately. Did own PWI and may have been scared out of it by misunderstanding some financial data.

I'm sure there are other good ones.

Hope my reasoning about these things is sound and my information on them is correct. I learned the hard way over the last 15 years that there is huge variation in honesty and management between US energy trusts. You can get a management that turns the whole thing into a scam.
