Not true, AS. In politics, especially world politics, perceptions do matter. It is entirely possible that some Iraqi troops decided to fight on or not surrender sooner thinking that the resolve of the US was less than firm. The hilarious Iraqi (mis)information minister undoubtedly used Kerry's comments for further propoganda. Like I said, not very smart. I thank Kerry for his service but believe he is a very poor choice for President and Commander In Chief--MK--
