*OT*I do sincerely appreciate your thoughts and do not find them tedious. Again, I wish your demeanor and level of rationality were more common.

It is argued, accurately imo, that this war is not a second war but a response to the continued 12-year violations of the cease-fire agreement ending the first Gulf War. UN Resolution 1441 was a further acknowledgment of that fact and authorized corrective measures which have and are being taken by the Coalition.

WMD and links to terrorism were additional reasons for the US to act, alone if necessary, and I believe those reasons are accumulating evidence almost daily. The further horrors of Saddam's regime are being documented daily (if not hourly) and a grateful nation of 25 million people has been liberated. I don't think any of this can be reasonably denied but it is being ignored and obscured by those who have been consistently proven wrong (the pathetic whining from the likes of Tim Robbins is an example).

We agree on the nature and even value of "beliefs" but it was more along the lines of irrational or unfounded beliefs that I was speaking: UFO conspiracies, the Flat Earth Society, and yes, Chicago Cubs fans.

The Irrational Left has yet to take that first step towards successful treatment of its ills: admitting it was wrong and has a problem. Nothing could better exemplify this regrettable obstinacy than the recent statements from Nancy Pelosi (the intellectual equivalent of the hilarious former Iraqi information minister).

Have a pleasant and profitable day!--MK--
