The sharp reduction in advance airline reservations and heavy cancellation of existing reservations immediately following the invasion of Iraq illustrates that people associate the terrorist threat with what the United States actually does in and to the world[...] What proof is there - evidence, documentation, something - "illustrating" that reservations are being cancelled because of "what the United States...does" as opposed to prevailing economic conditions, continuing trends in air travel, etc...let alone, say, in response to what terrorism-supporting countries of the airline-hijacking-and-bombing pedigree do?
