First of all, Hoover saved the Kennedy Presidency (just weeks before Dallas). He got the Congress to drop an investigation about someone at the White House having an affair with an East German (and suspected communist spy)woman. If Hoover wanted to get rid of the President, he could have leaked what he knew about the President's significant health problems and sexual practices to the press during the Primaries (this was 1963)... same goes with the CIA as well.

I didn't make the comparison between the war records of the two JFKs, you did.

re:"Kerry is his own man, he's not a Kennedy and never will be. So who cares about the comparison?"

Lawmaker Calls for Apology From Kerry

Tuesday April 15, 2003 7:10 AM

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - As fighting winds down in Iraq, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry continues to criticize President Bush's push for war and says the United States should have continued diplomacy with the United Nations.

Kerry, who is vying for the Democratic presidential nomination, told a crowd gathered at a restaurant here Monday that Bush has hurt some international relationships that will be difficult to repair, the Morning News of Florence reported.

His comments drew criticism from South Carolina House Judiciary Chairman Jim Harrison, R-Columbia, who has asked Kerry to apologize.
