<There were no demonstrations in the U.S. against the war in Afghanistan.>

OK.

Let me rephrase that:

There were 100 times as many Americans protesting against the Iraq war, as there were protesting the Afghan war.

The New York protests changed from "more than 1,000", to more than 100,000.

In Berkeley, California, people were on the streets in protest

I don't count Berkeley.
Berkeley is the protest planet.

WHAT??!!

Now, now derek. There were no protests against the war in Afghanistan. Just as they were no predictions of quagmire and humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan or Iraq. Everybody knew that the US would win both wars easily. What's the matter with you, get with the program -g-

There were no demonstrations in the U.S. against the war in Afghanistan.

Schlesinger claimed "widespread". That didn't happen.
