If a cockroach pisses in the wind sideways, it will cause "controversy and material for distortion." You are by far the most pessimistic and risk-averse person I have ever met, in the flesh or otherwise. Sorry, but you're being deliberately obtuse. If you can't see that the arrival in Iraq of a famous Christian fundamentalist evangelist closely connected to the administration will cause unnecessary problems for the interim government, you're not looking. There are problems that have to be faced and risks that have to be taken. Introducing unnecessary problems and taking unnecessary risks is just stupid, especially if the you're already facing a huge variety of necessary ones.
