<Jesus in Baghdad>

This is just more excellent recruiting material for Bin Laden and Hezbollah. "See, I was right, it is a crusade, they are reaching into our heartland and trying to destroy our culture."

Jacob,
I bet a lot of people have said "Jesus" in Baghdad recently.

Don't forget to call in the planned location of that speech to the authorities.

If America is on a crusade, what labels do you use to describe Bin Laden's efforts?

The locals may be used to them by now. Graham's "Samaritan's Purse" group has been working in and around Iraq, Iran, Jordan, and Kuwait for over a decade. They were there after the first Gulf War, too. Same with Southern Baptist Convention, Church World Service and others.

Whilst I remain neutral on whether this is a "fantasic" idea or merely "whatever", these agencies have some history over there. Probably not without some understanding of appropriate conduct and local perceptions. Too much, perhaps, is being made of the Graham issue.

Ah Jake,

This unspoken idea of World Peace that you have...your posts say it in so many words.

Diplomacy,love, respect for other nations, non-intervention for any reason, total tolerance for all religions, the US does not leave its borders...

These are what is necessary, right?

Than all the bombings would stop and we could destroy all the guns, fighters, battleships, subs, and live in harmony. That's how it would work, right?

Or is your whole point just a US / Jew-lovin' thing?

The pattern is, we are repeatedly, blatantly, doing things to alienate the Muslim Street.

Yep. Taken individually, these things may be small. In sum, they are not. I'm not sure what the point of this is: I don't see any gain, and it introduces all manner of unnecessary complications.

This is just more excellent recruiting material for Bin Laden and Hezbollah. "See, I was right, it is a crusade, they are reaching into our heartland and trying to destroy our culture."

Right again.
