Defence?... Pollution? Water? Health? Oil prospecting?

It's beginning to make a lot of sense that animals and crops are grown in a friendly environment. In the UK we are learning this the hard way if nobody else. Mad cow disease and "foot and mouth" have been such hard lessons. People can catch "Foot and Mouth" btw, just need a very large exposure to it. I think large exposure may be at root of many of these "species jumping" incidents.

Also, the worlds oceans need to be made productive. This current "fish farm" idea is so short sighted. It's like we need to change from "hunter gathers" to "farmers" where the oceans are concerned.

Once lots of people have clean food and water, they can afford to think about buying all sorts of rubbish :-)
