I lived in Arlington Heights as a youth and witnessed the 1969 collapse first hand.

baseball is awesome this year. the collection of young power arms out there is like no time i can remember. recalls 1985-86 when i got to watch Doc Gooden and Clemens run out there every 5th day, plus Saberhagen, Hershiser and Mike Scott in their early days.

Boy is that the truth. In the NL alone, great young arms in Chicago, Philly, Houston, SF (geez, I've waited a long time to be able to say that), even San Diego (keep an eye on Jake Peavy).
