I wouldn't cite any evidence, just thoughts I had from looking at his physique -- he left Seattle a waif and came back a few years later a pack of muscles. The timing seemed suspicious, and his proclamations near the end of the season that he'd have many more seasons at that new high level. After he got his $18 million or so contract, I did not expect it to continue. I personally believe that the drug abuse in the majors is rampant -- not 90% as Canseco claimed, but I would not be surprised if it was 50%.

Contrast the opposition to drug testing in baseball with idiots in the chess world want to test for drugs for high caliber events. Hello... drugs make one play worse, not better. Even I'd have a shot beating Kasparov in a roid rage. (Not really -- I think he could still beat me if he was in a coma.)
