Dear John: Anything would be helpful, but if they keep the cap at $350 Billion I think it only means they speed up the already existing tax cuts and no new ones of any importance helps. Sadly, those that are ANTI tax cut can only seem to focus on who benefits directly from the tax cut and not on what it will do for the economy. Thus, I suspect we will have tax cuts which have no relation to what Bush is attempting to do to jumpstart the economy. The truth is we need SOMEHOW to encourage CAPITAL SPENDING. Since Technology SEEMS to me to be the worst portion of the economy (I am including telecomm in techs), seems to me some type of HUGE business credit for technological upgrades would be a good idea but I can just hear the liberals screaming on that one. Instead they give some token tax relief to a single, black woman with 4 children. If such a person exists, benefits her but does NOTHING for the USA. Sort of like the Parable, you give a man a fish, he eats for the day, you teach him how to fish he eats forever. Course the fish cant vote. jdn
