Funny ha-ha, sure, gooo Jay ..... don't anybody tell him our Halifax class frigates are actually quite deadly weapons, and used daily in the effort against terrorism, in fact right now they lead the squadron patrolling the straits of Hormuz ... in which squadron are included at least one german and at least one french ship, by the way .... reason i know this, is a guy with whom i used to work has a son involved there .... there is a great page on the net covering RCN assets, it will be quite surprising really to those subscribing to the three-rowboat myth ... can't find the right search terms though, there are many other pages it seems, here is one - sfu.ca

... and the deal is, of course, not that we wouldn't capture any bad guys toot sweet, it is that we would not turn them over to any rogue nation practicing unilateral agression on sovereign states ..... we have many alternatives, you check out the statutes on assault under the criminal code of this g.w.n., there is some heavy-duty stuff in there .... but whether they have a mountie on board, this i do not know
