hi ep,
Nice thing about natural gas - SARS or not, people want to keep their house warm and use electricity That's why I'm overweight still and this is that payout time of month ;o)

As I've mentioned before (and very un gold buggy of me) I like the better hedgers for the stability. Advantage and Paramount have both announced some good news hedges recently, nice uncomplicated collars and fixed contracts :o)

SARS or not SARS will likely encourage coccooning and warm cosy or cool air conditioned homes... both good...

Regardless of industrial demand NG demand in the big picture view is becoming less elastic IMO. There will always be fuel switching when the price is right for generating and in some industrial cases and anyone can get the skinny on that at Big Dog's Boom Boom Room here on SI. OTOH most new urban home construction here in Canada seems to be opting for NG. Couple that with the new mantra of infill housing for higher density and you get a recipe for more stable and increasing retail NG demand.

FWIW I'm heavier into NG than I ever was into gold and that was heavy. Still have the utes CNP and RRI both nicely green. Also a pleasant surprise this month, I totally forgot about the CNP dividend, nice surprise :o)

regards
Kastel CCC
