The RSS has always been very "pro Hindu" in its philosophy.

Yep. Like the KKK is "pro white". Accurate description as far as it goes, but maybe it doesn't go quite far enough.

The BJP (a follow on from what was called Jana Sangh) adopts some of the principles of the RSS due to a common historic background.

Given the principles of the RSS, that's a somewhat disquieting thought.

Lately, BJP ministers have been trying to take a more moderate approach in the concept known as "Hindutva" - A Hindu nation.

A more moderate approach to a fundamentally immoderate principle is a positive step, but renunciation of the principle would be more comforting.

To continue your analogy with racial conflict in the US, can you imagine what that conflict would look like if the government of the US formally espoused a "white nation" concept, even a "moderate" form?

Want to wager a buck ? : I say there will be no nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan in the next 5 years.

I agree. I certainly hope there won't be one. I wouldn't expect peace and quiet either.
