Thomas, I looked at enough at that site to know how
credible it was. Even if the New York Times published the
article, it proves absolutely nothing. The NYT publishes
all manner of articles that have little or no basis in fact
or reality as do most biased media outlets, be they liberal
or conservative.

'Complaints about the <New York> Times’ liberal bias have
grown stronger since the 2001 promotion of Howell Raines
from editorial page editor to executive editor. As even
Newsweek reported: “A hard-charging editor’s crusading
style is coloring the Gray Lady’s reputation.... [the]
Times is being criticized for ginning up controversies as
much as reporting them out” (Seth Mnookin, December 6,
2002). '

04/16 The Wall Street Journal’s Dorothy Rabinowitz wonders
if the Times was watching the same war as the rest of us:

04/15 The Village Voice’s Cynthia Cotts reports on Howell
Raines “Republic of Fear” at the Times and suggests Raines
killed stories unfavorable to Democratic Sen. Candidate
Robert Torricelli. See Story

Maureen Dowd Uncowed by War’s Success - Maureen Dowd
breezed by Iraqi jubilation in one snotty sentence: “We
were always going to win the war with Iraq.” She’s back on
Iraq, just in time to criticize the U.S. for not stopping
the looting of Baghdad’s museums and libraries. More...

I could go on ad nauseam with more.

I could do the same for some conservative leaning media
outlets as well. Their bias allows them to report
spurrious, albeit unsubstantiated dogma too.

Just because it gets reported, does not make it true.

When it is widely reported in all manner of liberal &
conservative media with little variation, then I'll be
inclined to believe it.
