To kill your optimism for good: KC if a drug maker laboratory would stumble, by sheer accident, on a vacine for malaria (because they aren't actively searching for it) they will not produce it or market it.

The money they make selling drugs to treat malaria is much bigger in the long term than the money they would make selling the vacine.

Perhaps this explain why dengue, malaria and other sickness will live on...

No need to put the barrel of the shotgun into your mouth or jump off the window though.
