Extraordinary that Freidman would write that. There is an Israeli/Bush booster writing for the Globe and Mail - not jewish, called Margaret Wente - she wrote what I considered a cheap attack on Robert Fish recently - but the trouble with these columnists is that they simply block out adverse comments from readers via the net - they may publish their email addresses but they filter out what they don't want to read. The only way to attack them is to write a letter to the Editor, but there's only a slim chance of it being published, especially now with the volume of mail. In the case of the NYT it seems that there's a well established pro-Israel bias. Of course with a thread like this you can count on being branded 'Anti-Semitic'.
