Short term you are probably right

But under the government flooding money inflation scenario (in which I believe) real estate will I believe more than bounce back

For me real estate is a very long term investment Not like RGLD for instance which I could sell in a heartbeat.

In addition my DC house was my grandmother's house and has been in the family for over 60 years. My daughter might kill me if I sold it. <g>

Weakness in real estate?
yes for a while
(worse in some areas than others)

A severe crash with tent cities, soup kitchens, and a nuclear winter? I do not buy it.

I think these guys (the ones who keep painting the super gloomy picture) are on some kind of bad trip.
