What you said about the IT types applies in spades to the Wall Street crowd in the late 90s on in to 2000; the investment bankers with their multi-million bonuses, the brokers, the analysts, and the venture capital firms. They fed a frenzy and reaped insane profits. IMO they are far more culpable than the average corporate management, certainly excepting a few crooks in the likes of Enron, Worldcom, Qwest, Adelphia, and others.

Unfortunately, most of that crowd has now escaped with their liquid pools of capital, and will never have to bear the brunt of the aftermath of their greed.
