KC,

As a transplant who moved to Nova Scotia when I was a kid, I put up with lots of anti-American rhetoric and if I think about it honestly I am guilty of firing back indiscriminately. And your also right about there being better boards for that :-)

Coal sucks…period, but is used by both countries in probably equal percentages.Maybe you need to buy a wind-sock and get a bead on where exactly this pollution is coming from. You know, hep out a bit.

Agreed - actually found two reports on that subject and based on wind patterns the prevailing stuff we see in Georgian Bay is from Michigan and Ohio. There were a couple of days where it came from Sudbury (a northern wind). The Canadian coal plants would dump on upstate NY & Quebec I guess.

Kyoto is a boondoggle and can only work if all sides are sincere in respecting its intent and attaining its goals. The Bush Admin. not signing on sent a bad signal, regardless of some of the realities inherent within its own environment policies. It was discussed here at length at the time. There were no winners.

Agreed. In fact to compound the idiocy - there was just a 'clean coal' add on TV. Even if you could burn the stuff cleanly have you ever seen a strip mine? Horrid.

John

ps You will probably get some hate mail for calling NS detached though :-0
