I believe he took up the “ massacre “ mantra just as many others did at the time,but as has been recorded here on SI though our diligence,the “ massacre “ term was ballooned from an interview immediately afterwards and came from the lips of an Israeli guest during that interview.Jenin was discussed here thoroughly

Bullsh-t, KC. Utter and complete Bullsh-t. The "massacre" term came from Saeb Erekat and other Palestinian sources claiming first 3,000, then 500, civilians shot, bulldozed in houses, their bodies taken away in refrigerated trucks, etc, etc. CNN broadcast them repeatedly. And Fisk was first and foremost in acting as an echo chamber for Erekat. His colleague Phil Reeves took it back when it was proved a hoax; but Fisk never did. Fisk does not concern himself with his many factual errors.
