Alcoholism...passe? Better stand shoulder to shoulder with the kiddies and moms who have an alcoholic to deal with! As usual Mr Santiago , the righteous Bible pounding addict will stop at nothing to attempt always to make the world uglier than it truely is , to fulfill your foolish ancient superstitious prophecies of gloom and doom , evil , damnation and other assorted ridiculous taboos , bugaboos , and fairy stories. Yes Alcoholism is much better understood these days , and more thanks to the efforts of caregivers , medical & social research studies and good science than it was ever done by these superstitious proclamations about sin & evil. try reading the post one more time and see what was actually said Message 18855605 " alcohol is a mindkiller and more and more it is becoming passe " If you spent as much time as you do fighting the devil and defending your "faith" with endless debates and fighting to intentionally distort the views of others ... with the same amount of energy loving your fellow men , you would even be free of the addiction of this self-righteous simpleton fantasy you live in . For more centuries than one can count , shallow self-righteousness, condemnations just like yours , has done more harm than alcoholism easily, and by far , through keeping men and women in the bondage of superstition , ignorance and fear. It appears that you belong to a societal click that could care less about the unfortunate addicts of this world who only wanted to be social drinkers and was damned through the genes passed down to them from parents and grandparents What complete proof of what I just said above . You are so filled with your own addiction to religion , you won't even admit that society is changing for the better , and greater understanding of the problem is replacing the bible pounding of old , that solved nothing but stigmatized and stereo-typed , and condemned . I can think of no better example than that of AIDS/HIV , and how well we all saw the hollowness & emptiness of "Christian" charity towards that when it first surfaced and grew to become epidemic . Nothing but the facts Santiago , aren't you glad you have scientist and secular caregivers to provide them for you ?
