Of course, I may be too focused on tech stocks, especially BRCM, so my point-of-view might be too narrow. But I agree more with the TA guys who think options expiry played a major role this week along with earnings.

I think you may be too focused on large cap tech stocks. There are small cap tech and non tech that are generating decent profits and/or are experiencing good revenue growth. Examples of both are SGMA, LOOK, WDC, KYPH, IGLD, PCNTF, FLML, DCEL, BJ etc.

Some of them have just started making money and their stock prices are increasing accordingly. Others were hi fliers that were forced to earth and their stock prices vs earnings now make a great deal of sense. Improvement in large cap stocks will come about later.

There is money to made in them thar hills!

Remember also the markets look 6 mos. ahead.......if they think the economy will turn by then, they will ramp stocks now.
