Tiger,

"So if Saddam jumped off a cliff, does that mean we have to also?"

Bad analogy. Jumping off a cliff is an attempt to do self-harm. Saddam fought two wars of aggression for power and influence. He never intended to hurt himself, he intended to hurt others.

It was the intent of U.S. and coalition members to prevent Saddam from doing any more harm.

A better analogy would be one where Saddam Hussein pushes two people off a cliff and then a third person shoves him off the cliff. A very satisfying shove it was.
